It’s been awhile since our last discussion topic, so here it goes! Today I wanted to start a discussion about the shiver movie. 2011 is coming to an end and the movie is rumored to be out next year. We’ve been getting asked a lot about it via twitter, but I promise we’re not withholding any movie news from you guys. There just –surprisingly– hasn’t been any announcements. So my question to you is do you think we’ll hear any more news about the movie before the end of the year? Do you think the movie will still release in 2012?

Which character in the series was your favorite?

John: My favorite character in the series would have to be Sam because he is very interesting and I really like the relationship between him and Grace throughout the series.

Holly: I know I’m not the only one who would give this answer and I know its probably wrong, but I have to go with Cole St. Clair. I really enjoyed watching his character grow in the last 2 books.

Is there a character you wish we knew more about?

John: The character I would like to learn more about would have to be Beck because he’s relationship to Sam is  very interesting and heartfelt also I would like to learn more about his early years before he met Sam.

Holly: Yes! I wish we had been introduced to the tye-dye girl who was in the van in Shiver with Cole and Victor.

Was there a character you loved to hate?

John: The character who I just loved to hate would have to Cole because to me Cole in Linger was a mean and selfish person but towards the end of Linger I sort of liked him because he was the only one who could help save Grace from dieing in the hospital, and also in Forever I had liked Cole in some scene’s like when he had helped Sam find Grace and also when he had helped the wolves towards the end.

Holly: I think the character I loved to hate changed with every book. In Shiver it was Isabel. In Linger it was Cole, and in Forever it was Shelby.

1. What is your favorite quote from any of the books in the series? Why?

Tzina: My favourite quote is Sam’s dream in ”Forever”. I like this quote because it’s like he is saying goodbye to Beck’s house, to his old life, to all the things he knows and then he wakes up and he finds out that in someway this dream is true. Furthermore, in “Linger” we learn that he sometimes was turning all the lights on. That habit starts from when he was just a little boy. Turning all the lights off probably means that he understands that he now has the responsibility of the whole pack, his job and a life with Grace.

Alissa: This is hard. Probably “You’re like a song I heard when I was a little kid but forgot I knew the words until I heard it again.”

2. Who is your favorite character? Why?

Tzina: My favorite character is Sam because he is sensitive, smart, he cares about the pack, he reads poetry, he writes songs, he loves Grace and he would do whatever it takes to save her and he never gets angry.

Alissa: I must say, I particularly like Isabel. She just fascinates me, and I love her sarcasm. Her relationship with Cole is so interesting. Her whole LIFE is interesting. If I met a person like Isabel, I would immediately want to know more about her – she’s just so mysterious.

3. Do you have a favorite scene from any of the 3 books? Why is it your favorite?

Tzina: I don’t have a particularly favourite scene because all the scenes from all the books are fanatastic. But I love the scenes where Sam and Grace are together.

Alissa: I love the hospital scene in the first book (“My wolf was a cute guy and he was holding my hand.” Ha). It’s my favorite because Sam and Grace first formally meet and get to know each other there in the hospital. Grace learns that the wolves change with the cold, and she first notices Sam’s scars. They hold hands for the first time, too. It was love at first sight, and they both knew it, so holding hands was natural even though they only knew each other for a few hours. That one little action summarizes their whole relationship.
